Dunning, John “Jack” Alcott-
1944-2020
Jack Dunning touched the lives of countless students, and changed the lives of many, during his years as a professor of psychology at Algoma University. In retirement, he became a well-known potter whose work – both practical and playful – has found a place in many local homes. He leaves a huge empty spot in the lives of his family and friends. Survived by Paula, his wife of 54 years; children Erica (Darren), Robin (Andrea) and, Galen (Katharina); grandchildren, Gavin, Aidan, Blake, Delaney, Quentin, Stella, and Nina; and his brother, Peter (Lucy). Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no public celebration of life at this time. Donations in his memory can be made to Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund or the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.
