Obituary for Isabella Jane McKinnon (Ingram)
It is with heartfelt sadness, that we announce the peaceful passing of Bella McKinnon on May 19, 2021 at Extendicare Van Daele in Sault Ste. Marie, in her 105th year, with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.
Daughter of the late Ernest and Lily Ingram (nee Wright). Dear sister of Addie Seabrook (late Ivan) and Hazel Mortimore (late Elwood Martin and Bob Mortimore). Predeceased by her siblings, Alice Weir (late George), Hester Demond (late Wilfred), Anne Ladouceur (late Bill), Nelson Ingram (late Beulah), Maude Guzzo (late Frank), Ernie Ingram (late Bernice), Albert Ingram (late Donelda) and Amy Green (late Albert).
Bella will be dearly missed by her daughter Laurie Grenier (Joe) and son Guy McKinnon (Joan). Predeceased by her daughter Anne McKinnon and son Jimmy McKinnon (Audrey)
Bella will live on in her grandchildren, Laurie-Anne Mortimore (Jamie), Jo-Joe McKinnon, Annita Wilton (Andrew), Boyd Seabrook (Nicole), Ryan McKinnon (Celina), Melissa McKinnon Sutton (Kaitlyn), John McKinnon (Shannon) and Margaret Nate.
Gramma Bella (GG) will be dearly missed by her many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the 3rd floor Nursing staff (extended family) at Extendicare Van Daele for the amazing care and love over the past 6 years. Particularly the love and compassion shown to Bella and family in her last days. Special thanks to Kelly for adopting Mom and loving her like family. You will never know the extent of our appreciation.
Bella was a resident of Thessalon for 97 years and will be missed by friends and fellow card players/Bingo lovers. She loved being a part of her small community and missed it dearly.
Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a future date. Memorial donations can be made to ARCH Hospice, or Van Daele Manor Residents Council (payable online or by cheque).
