Irene Blanche Racette passed away October 28th, 2020 at Cedarwood Lodge Sault Ste. Marie, ON at the age of 85.
Irene was born June 24th, 1935 in Val Gagne, ON. Daughter of the late Rosaire and Solange Racette. Predeceased by infant son Remi, brothers Albert and Émile as well as companion Émile Arseneault. Sister of Simone Morin, Marie Ange Tremblay (Adrien), Daniel, Isidore (Clauviette), Laura Martineau, Raymond (Muriel) and Gisele.
Proud mother of Mariette Robinson, Pauline (Shawn) Armstrong, Mona (Tim) Johns, Lise Harrison, and Lorraine Mauer.
Grandmother to Lori, Carrie, Tammy, Mason, Shane, Chad, Jasmine, Cheristy, Lacey, Larissa and Celeste.
Great Grandmother of 16 and great great grandmother of 1.
Irene was very devoted to her children and family. As a master knitter and crocheter, her knitting was well known at many craft tables across the north. Special thanks to all the staff at Cedarwood Lodge.
As per Irene’s wishes there will be no service and cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.
