Passed away at the Sault Area Hospital onFriday August 11, 2023, at the age of 73. Survived by his wife Susan for 32 years. Father of Nichole (Kendall) McDonald and Chad (Christina) Granger. The Proudest Papa of Mackenzie, Kierra, Abby and Kohl McDonald and Willow and Billie Granger.
Predeceased by his parents Eva Kleiber and Erwin (Ethel) Kleiber. Brother of Arnold (Nancy) and Erwin (Shirley). Special son-in-law of Wanda Maguire and brother-in-law of Robert (Jan) Maguire, Kathy (Bill) Hewitt, the late Blair (Rita) Maguire, Brent (Wende) Maguire and Cindy (Dave) Cripps. Horst was uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by his extended family, Blake (Mary) Granger, Grant Granger, the late Gloria granger, the late Rod Granger, the late Bill Granger, Tammy (Terry) Grexton, Lonny Granger and Curtis (Susan) Granger. Dear friend to Don Scornaienchi and Anthony and Marge Skorich.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Horst’s Life at the Elks Hall in Echo Bay on Sunday August 20, 2023, from 1-4:00pm.
Horst’s family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Berry, Dr. Shaffie, the staff of the Sault Area Hospital Dialysis Unit, the doctors in Emergency who gave him his last wishes, and his special angel Mia, thank you, you all meant a lot to him.
