PISTOR, Gloria Alba (nee Rossi)-
Peacefully at Extendicare Maple View on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Louis Pistor. Loving mother of Cheryle Boyer (Paul) and Janet Orlando (Peter). Much loved and special Nonna to Paul Boyer (Helen), Marc Boyer (Ana), Tricia Orlando and Krista Greco (Joe). Cherished great-grandmother and Nonni to Paul Anthony, Maddalena and Olivia Boyer and Hailey and Blake Greco. Daughter of the late Joseph and Letizia Rossi. Daughter-in-law of the late Frank and Anastasia Pistor. Sister of the late Peter Rossi (Nancy) and late Enzo Rossi (late Viola). Sister-in-law of the late Lino Pistor (late Rose) and late Fulvio (Fufu) Pistor (late Leona). Special aunt to many nieces, nephews, and their families. Gloria grew up in the Sault’s west end, working in her father’s business, Rossi’s Bakery, where she worked along side her sister-in-law, Nancy, making delicious cream puffs, cakes, pastries, and the best tuna pizza. Gloria enjoyed bowling, playing bocce, was an Honourary member of the Elettra Marconi Ladies Society and in her later years, travelled frequently with the Sunshine Travel Club. Gloria’s family extends special thanks and sincere appreciation to the PSW’s, nurses, doctors and all staff at Pathways Retirement Residence and Extendicare Maple View (Lake Superior) for their excellent care and compassion provided to Gloria, and our family, over the years. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no funeral services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
