Obituary for Jean Grundy
GRUNDY, Gertrude “Jean” –
Our beautiful and precious mom passed away peacefully at the age of 88 at Extendicare Van Daele on Sunday, December 18, 2022.
Loving mother of Stacey Quinlan (Robert), Ron (Jami) and Joanne Lesperance (Dan). Special grandma of Michael (Elva), Sarah, Ryan (Brittany), Jenna, Cassidy, Lyndsey (Dalton), Jake and Brandon. Great grandma of Leah, Callum, Caroline, Harmony, Jaxson and Kennedi. Dear sister of David (late Doris), Joanne Gagnon (Bob). Remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Marjorie and Ernest as well as her stepfather, Joe Grossett.
A special thank you to all the staff at the Van Daele on the third floor for your excellent care and compassion shown towards mom and our family.
As per moms wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will be held in Windsor, Ontario at a later date. Memorial donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Sault Ste. Marie in her name would be greatly appreciated (payable by cheque or online at https://alzheimer.ca/algoma/en). Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home.
