Obituary for Emma Amelia Seccariccia (DellaSavia)

Peacefully in her sleep at the F.J. Davey Home in her 92nd year, Emma was called home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
Finally reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Frank, her parents Giuseppe and Lucia Della Savia and her late siblings Josephine Sarlo (Tillie), Bruno Della Savia (Bev), Lido Della Savia (Lois) and Velia ‘Fifi’ Seccariccia (Howie). Also predeceased by her father and mother-in-law, Pietro and Nicoletta Seccareccia. Her sister-in-law Jerry (late Tony) Seccareccia will miss her here, but Emma’s arrival in heaven will ne doubt be cause for dancing and celebration with her many in-laws that have passed before her – Ormen (Olga), Mario (Lorraine) and John (Joan) Seccareccia, Jenny Vena (Louie), Dorothy Schill (Bill) and Matilda Bernardi (Ed).
Left to carry on her memory here on earth are her sons Frank (Susan Bertin) (late Shirley) and Richard (Marilyn) Seccariccia. She was the favourite Noni of Tara (John) and Michael (Mary) Cianchetti, Melissa Bennett (Decarus), Kristy Hammond (Steve) and Scott Seccariccia (Leslie). She will be lovingly remembered by her long-time friend, Helen Thibodeau. Emma is also survived by her great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Emma was able to stay in her own home until the age of 89, thanks in part to her caring neighbors Darlene and Dave McFarling who were always there to lend a hand. Special thanks go to all the staff at the F.J. Davey Home, and especially the staff of Cedar Grove first floor, for their excellent care of our beloved Mom, Noni and friend. There will be no services at this time per Emma’s wishes, but the family ask that any Memorial Contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Algoma or ARCH (Payable online or by cheque).
