It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our mother on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the age of 99 with her children by her side.
Elia is now reunited with her loving husband and life partner Ermete.
Left to mourn and treasure the memories of her long and generous life are her children, Enzo (Gayle), Rosanna Devoni (Peter), Dino, Eugenia (Jean) McLeod (Pat), Eugene (Monique), and Anna Maria Madonna (Terry).
Beloved niece, Graziella Francolini. Friend, Sandra Tesolin Torcoletti.
Ever-loving Nonna of Jason McLeod (Jennifer), Marnie Devoni-St.Germain (Bard), Andrew Torcoletti (Karyn), Mark Torcoletti (Maureen), Brianne Madonna (Ashton), and Matthew Madonna (Stephanie). Adoring Bisnonna of Elysha, Georgia, Jackson, Alise, Nora, Jacob, Luke, and Madison.
Predeceased by her brothers Solindo, Andrea, Vasinto, and sisters-in-law Lidia (Umberto Ceresani), Adele (Ennio Cangiotti), Maria (Lido Francolini) and brother-in-law Eugenio Torcoletti. Survived by her sisters-in-law Dina Giusti, Lina Bambera and Maria Baiocchi.
Mom will be missed by her nephews and nieces in Montreal and Italy.
Family interment to be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations made to A.R.C.H. (payable online or by cheque) would be appreciated by the family.
Elia was fearless and strong.
She lived with dignity and pride.
Work was her Life
Family was her Affection.
