Appel, Dorothy (nee Stewart)-
Dorothy Appel passed away in her 95th year on Sunday April 11, 2021 at the Sault Area Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Lennart Appel and dear daughter of the late Charles and Agnes Stewart of Echo Bay, Ontario. A loving mother to Lynda Cozzens (Jerry) and the late Rodger Appel. She will be missed by her two step granddaughters, Jennifer Dowd (Tom) of Texas and Jaimie Lohrman (Rob) of Ohio as well as six step great grandchildren, Tyler & Ryan Dowd, Brady, Brant & Brynna Kirkpatrick and Robbie Jr. Lohrman. Predeceased by her six sisters. the late Christina Graham, Ida Berthelot, Agnes Dale, Kate & Mary Stewart and one brother William Stewart. She will be missed by her one surviving sister, Barb Thornton of Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Survived by many niece's and nephews. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses that cared for mom at the hospital. Special thanks to my family and Dennis Abernot for their care and compassion. There will be no visitation or service at this time and a Memorial Service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
