Obituary for Doris B A Fowler (nee De Lavalle)
Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, June 9th, 2022 at the age of 82. Survived by her loving husband, Robert. Cherished mother of Mike (Tracy). Loving grandmother of Jesse (Jessie) Morin and Nick (Ella). Special great grandmother to Austin. Sadly missed by her brother Jim (Brenda) DeLavalle. Predeceased by her parents Leo and Adeline DeLavalle as well as her siblings Sandra (late Tom) Kelly and John (Darlene) DeLavalle and Nick (Mary Anne) Ruicci. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mom was a beautiful simple soul. She loved sitting down with a good cup of coffee and watching her grandchildren grow, taking pride in her beautiful family. She had a deep commitment for service and helping others and spent her life as a devoted woman to her faith.
We would like to give a sincere thank you to the Access centre and all the PSWs that took care of mom over the years. To the geriatric clinic, her nurse Niel and Dr. Hopper for their wonderful care as well as a big thank you to the nurses on 3B for the love and compassion you showed towards our mom, you are truly angels on earth.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family at O’Sullivan Funeral Home on Thursday, June 16th, 2022 from 1pm until the service at 3pm in the funeral home chapel with Len Monico officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations made to ARCH would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home.
