Obituary for Deloris Margaret McGonegal (Ibbitson)
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Deloris Margaret McGonegal (nee Ibbitson) on April 10th, 2023, at the age of 85.
Left behind to mourn her death is her cherished partner, Keith Shuttleworth as well as her beloved children Roberta Thornton, Howard Thornton (Darlene) and Tammey Artuso (Dennis). Deloris leaves behind seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Gerald and Dorothy Ibbitson. Dear sister of Bruce Ibbitson (Sandy) and the late Lloyd Ibbitson and Betty Simon.
Deloris was a devoted charter member to the Sault Ste. Marie Fraternal Order of Eagles #3991 Auxiliary for 42 years. She served as an Ontario provincial past president for a full term.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 14th, 2023, for FOE members, friends, and family to assemble at the Eagles #3991 (246 Wellington St. W, SSM) at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations to the SSM Fraternal Order of Eagles #3991 Building Fund (payable by cheque only) would be appreciated by the family.
