Obituary for Delmar Burton Bailey
Bailey, Delmar Burton-
February 7, 1939- March 20th, 2021
On Saturday March 20th at his home, Delmar took his last train ride with loving family by his side.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 61 years, Marion, his children: Jim (Shelly), Jody (Cathy), Sandra (Bruce) Findlay and predeceased by his eldest son, Andy.
Proud Papa of Kate (Jared) Giurissevich, Kelsey (Norman) Siddall, Kassidy (Solomon) Henderson, Melvin (Julie), Amy (John) Karhi, Sarah (Greg) Rowlinson, Terra (Callahan) O'Reilly, Brett Findlay, Ace (Rebecca) and Andrew (Ashley).
Adored great grandpa Bailey of 22 beautiful great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Myrtle & James Bailey and siblings, Delema, Russell (Shirley), Phyllis (Don) Coulter, Bill, Melvin (Nova), and Janice. Also predeceased by his mother and father in-law Edna and Lorne Bain, brother in-laws Gordon (Lisette), Bobby, and Leonard (Bev).
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Delmar will always be remembered for his love of country music and working in his garden. His passion for sports was second to none and Detroit Red Wings were always number one!
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Echo Bay Elks Lodge #535 or The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
