Obituary for David William Thomas
THOMAS, David William
(December 8th, 1940 – May 8th, 2020)
We sadly announce that on May 8th, David peacefully passed away. He
is survived by his loving wife, Linda (nee McMaster) of 57 years. Adoring father of Steven, Kelly (Fritz) of Oakville and Jason(Monika) of Toronto. Cherished Papa of Morgan and Miya Thomas, Dylan and Matty Hagan, Ben and Holden Thomas. Brother of Eileen Jones (Gwyn) of Wales and Brother-in-law of Ken and Paula Smith. Dear Uncle to Kevin (Melissa), Corey (Tracy) Smith and Eve (David) Mohacsan. David emigrated from Wales as a young man to begin a new life in
Canada. He met his future wife the day he arrived in the Soo and so
began his life’s journey. A special thank you to Cindy Thomas, our special angel, and the nurses from Paramed; Holly and Marcie, and the cancer team at Sault
Area Hospital. A private family service has taken on May 15th, 2020. A celebration of life will take place later this year once social distancing allows. Memorial donations in his name can be made out to “Tracy’s Dream’ or Arch.
