Obituary for David Brace
January 6, 1949 – September 3, 2023
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of David Brace at home on September 3rd, 2023, in his 74th year.
Born in Newfoundland on January 6th, 1949, David made his way to Fort McMurray where he spent 30 years before retiring to Sault Ste. Marie.
Survived by his cherished wife of 33 years, Lucy Brace. Loving father to Rod, Rob (Karen), Mark (Tracey), Michelle (Mike) and Missouri (Mathieu). Pop Brace to AJ, Paul, Jesse, Jordan, Jason, Julee, Riley, Reese, Rylan and many great grandchildren. Step father to Jody and Emilee. Adored son of the late Duncan Brace and Helen Penny of Newfoundland. Loving brother of the late William (Shirley), Joan (Les), late Reg (Shirley), Paula (Otto), and Muriel. Brother in law to Robert (Linda), Late William (Lois), Late David (Carol), Late Martin, Donald (Sharon), Brian (Cynthia) and Susan (Dean). Special uncle to many nieces and nephews.
David will be deeply missed by countless friends, family, and his fur babies Oskar and Milo.
David loved fishing, hunting, his Harley Davidson motorcycles, going for coffee with his special crowd, the Montreal Canadians, Toronto Blue Jays and spending time with the ones he loved.
A celebration of life with take place in Newfoundland at a later date.
