It is with broken hearts that we regret to announce the passing of our wife, mother and grandmother Christine Abbott on Sunday April 12, 2020 peacefully at Maple View Extendicare. Born August 22, 1943 in Glasgow, Scotland. Adored wife and very best friend of David Abbott Sr. for 55 years. Best friend and mother of Katrina Cuglietta and David Abbott Jr. (Amanda). Much loved grandmother of Alysha and Bryanna Cuglietta and Mackenzie and Danika Abbott. Predeceased by her parents George and Helen Thomson and in laws Thomas and Elizabeth Abbott. Sister of George Thomson (Mary) and John Thomson (Sonya). Sister in law of Carole Abbott (late James Janke and Garnet Smith) and Ann Abbott (late Thomas Abbott). Aunt of Caroline McDonald, Janice Peters, George Thomson, Steven Thomson, Neville Abbott, Ailsa-Ann Kilroe, Lesley Wright, and the late Gillian Rae. She will be remembered by many for her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and gift for gab. We would like to thank Victoria, Matthew, Darwissa, Manju and the rest of the Fourth-floor staff of Maple View Extendicare for your kindness and care. There will be no funeral or service. A celebration of life will take place at a later date with immediate family and close family friends. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Rest in peace our beautiful angel.
