Obituary for Charles "Rusty" Nelson Boudah

It is with heavy hearts we said goodbye to our kindhearted father, husband, grandfather and great grandfather, Charles Nelson Boudah (Rusty) on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
Dad peacefully passed away surrounded by his family, his loving wife Jacqueline of 64 years. He was the very proud and loving father of LeeAnn (Steve) Warden and Laura-Lee (Richard) Burns. Cherished Grandfather of Brent and Nicole Burns, Cody Wisniewski, Vanessa, Drew (Mindy), Steven (Kristen), and Haylie Warden. Great-Papa of 8.
Dear brother of late Helen (late Mel) Lee, late Beatrice (late Jack) Hemphill, late Wilfred (late Myrtle) Boudah, late Myrla (late Lawrence) Geroux, late Dorothy (late Albert) Metayer, late Harry (Betty) Boudah, late Merv (late Maryln) Boudah, late Mable (late Don) Duguay, late Betty Lou (late Enso) Andreola. Brother-in-law of James Brennan. Son of the late Frank and late Pearl Boudah. Son in Law of the late Simone and late Oliver Brennan. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
We are forever grateful to the staff at Dad’s second home, Driftwood 2 (FJ Davey Home) for always treating him and us with loving kindness. They will always be a part of our family and remain in our hearts for their overwhelming care, kindness, and compassion.
Thank you to Dave and Kerri, Frank and Mary, and Barb and Jim for holding our hands and our hearts throughout this journey. For all your love and support we are forever grateful.
Nelson joined the Lauzon family on June 7, 1958, when he married the love of his entire life Jackie. Known as “Rusty” to Mom’s family he was welcomed with open arms, attending many family functions and family reunions at Leighs Bay, Gros Cap, and St. Joes Island.
Dad had so many adventures with Mom by his side. He did everything from walking her home from the Memorial Gardens, where she worked in 1954, to travelling cross country for an entire year in 1988. He started out at Algoma Steel, had his own Shell Station, worked for Elwood Robinson along the way as a diesel mechanic, then achieved his dream of owning his own machine shop in California where he worked side by side with Mom.
Dad showed us how to live life to the fullest, work hard, and to always be dedicated in whatever we did and to always protect those we love.
A celebration of life service will be held at O’Sullivan funeral home on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 1:00 PM ET. Those who are unable to attend but still want to participate in the service are welcome to view a livestream of the service via Zoom. Follow the link and password below:
