Obituary for Carmela Maria Fabiano (Tucci)

FABIANO, Carmela Maria (nee Tucci) –

July 16, 1928 - April 30, 2023
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother (mama), Carmela Maria Fabiano.
Born to the late Genoeffa Tucci in Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Italo.
Mother of Tony (Sandra), Rita, late Gina (Dan), Linda and late Joey.
Nonna of Anthony (Amanda) Johnny, Robbie (Jorleny), Micheal, Marc, Joey Jr. and Nick. Great grandmother and great-great grandmother to many.
Through her love and dedication, we learned how to be strong and face challenges in life as well as the importance of family.
Moms’ passion was being surrounded by her grandchildren as well as her furry grand dog, Scooter “WATCH THE DOG”, cooking and baking. She made the best meatballs and chicken soup.
She took great pleasure in knitting, and all who knew her were sure to get one of her many creations.
There are not enough words to describe our mother (mama). Although she will be greatly missed, she will always be in our hearts.
We would like to thank Dr. Jarett, Dr. Hopper and the nurses at the Sault Area Hospital along with the numerous people who aided in mom’s care. Special thanks to Father Jeff and Father Trevor.
Resting at O’Sullivan Funeral Home, where family and friends may visit on Friday, May 5th, 2023, from 1pm – 3pm. A private service and inurnment at Holy Sepulchre cemetery will take place at a later date. Donations made to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted through the O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, P6A 1P7, 705-759-8456, www.osullivanfuneralhome.com).

A wife, a mother, a grandma too,
This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength; you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you've earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.
