Gouge, Arthur “Art”-
Surrounded by his family, Art passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday April 11, 2022, at the age of 85.
Beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Verdone). Father of Karen (Dale MacMAster) of St. Albert, Alberta and Mark (Debbie). Grandfather of Ashley Gouge, Daniel MacMaster of Calgary and Lauren MacMaster of St. Albert.
He was predeceased by his parents Eva and Paul and son in law of the late Eda and Guido Verdone. He was also the brother of Margaret (late Bob), Yvette, and Dianne (late Roy). Predeceased by his sister, Loretta (late Frank & Mel), brothers, Victor, Ron (Rhea), Armand (Aletta), Gerard (Millie), Leo and Albert. Brother in law of Vincent Verdone (Pat).
Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Special uncle to Patty and Leah Verdone. Long time friend of Cliff Causley.
The family would like to thank the 3 angels, Sam, Anna and Jessica of ICU for their care and compassion.
Family and friends are invited to O’Sullivan Funeral (215 St. James St.) on Tuesday April 19, 2022, from 12-2 pm. for visitation. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. As requested by the family, masks are required to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Soup Kitchen or the Alzheimer’s Society (payable by cheque or online).
