Obituary for Kenneth 'Kenny' Richter

Ken Richter, beloved son, brother, and uncle, unexpectedly passed away at home on June 13, 2023, at the age of 59 in Sault Ste Marie.

He is survived by his loving mother, Anne Faller, his brother, Clive Richter, his sister Charmaine Richter, and his brother Alan Richter. Uncle to Lisa and Bronwyn Ford, Grant, Alexis, and Lincoln Clark.

Born in 1964, in Salisbury, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). Immigrating with his family to Canada in April 1966.

Despite the challenges he faced as a special needs man, Kenny never let it hold him back. He always found a way to lend a hand when he was able. Kenny, was like a ray of sunshine, brightened up everyone's day with his beautiful smile. He lived every day to the fullest and was always grateful for the blessing in his life.

Ken’s mom, Anne, loved that he was able to visit her at the Elliot Lake Huron Lodge, once a month, for 4 hours. He loved to go to Swiss Chalet or Tim Hortons for doughnuts, or a little shopping at the Dollar Store.

Kenny had a passion for the outdoors, walking, swimming, bowling, driving go-cart which gave him independence. He had a special gift when it came to animals always treating them with kindness and love.

Ken was a very loving soul who was always ready to help somebody. He was grateful for any small or larger gift he was given. He grew into a real gentleman.

Kenny's life was short, but his impact will live on forever in the hearts and minds of all those whose lives he touched. His memory will be cherished and the lessons he taught about compassion, joy, and gratitude will continue to inspire us all.

Rest now, dear Kenny, and thank you for the light you brought into our lives.
