Obituary for Anthony James Barrow

Barrow, Anthony “Tony” James
October 19, 1935 – January 26, 2021

Tony passed away peacefully at ARCH after a brief struggle with cancer. Survived by his wife, Winona (Nonie) (nee Fiegehen), son Brian (Kimberly) and predeceased by his daughter, Brenda Lynne Pushman (Mike) (April 24, 2010) and stillborn daughter (Dec 20, 1967). Bumpa will be missed by his grandchildren, David & Madelynne (Maddy) Pushman and Tyler & Bryson Barrow, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Fred and Mary (nee Molyneaux) Barrow, Chorley England and siblings, Elsie Woods (Harry), Edna Woods (Alan), Jo (Ted) Baker and Derek (June).

Tony worked as a stationary Engineer (First Class) in many places and retired from Algoma Steel in 1992. His hobbies were flying, reading mysteries, volunteering and coffee at the Bushplane, Legion Band member and swimming. We self built and enjoyed our family camp on Bright Lake.

Our sincere thanks to nurse Susie, Dr. Booth and ARCH staff for their care. Due to COVID restrictions, a small family gathering will be held with Rev. Nancy Ferguson officiating. The family would appreciate donations to ARCH, Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre or charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.
