Obituary for Anselmo Tonino Berlingeri

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anselmo Tonino “Tony” Berlingeri peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday February 18, 2021. He was born September 19, 1938 in Villa S. Lucia, Italy. He is survived by Celeste, his wife of 53 years and his children Lisa, Anna (Vito), Anthony, and Deena (Brian). Proud Gumpo to his granddaughters, Mandy, Cindy and Madeline who always brought a smile to his face at any mention. Son of the late Stefano and Giovanna Berlingeri and son in law of the late Terigi and Gorizia Disano. Dear brother of Mary Toppan (David) and Ermanno Berlingeri. He will be remembered by his nephew, nieces, cousins and dear friends.

Tony retired from the SSM Public Utilities Commission as a skilled machine operator after 33 years of dedicated service. He was a generous and giving man helping many people throughout the years whenever called upon. Particularly at the Marconi Club, where he was a proud G. Marconi Society Member. The fall always brought mushroom picking and making homemade wine. Tony enjoyed many family dinners together which ended with a spirited game of cards. His furry companions were always there to keep him company. He will truly be missed and never be forgotten.

A heartfelt thanks to the compassionate health care team of providers Kelsey, Susan, Deanna, Shannon, Dr. C. Kuntz and Dr. N. Apostle.

A private visitation will be held by invitation only.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the SAH Foundation Renal Care Fund Clinic, The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG) or ARCH (payable by cheque or online) would be appreciated by the family.
