Obituary for Anna Mae James (Bjornaa)
JAMES, Anna (nee Bjornaa) –
Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Mapleview on July 19th, 2022 at the age of 84. Reunited with her husband, the late Donald James. Cherished mother of Krista Bjornaa (Dave), Kevin Bjornaa (Shannon), Dawn Evans (Greg), Glenn James and Sid James. Loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Special grandma to 2 great great grandchildren. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Carolyn Ainslie (late Ron), Andy Clark (Cathy) and Agnes Lidstone (Mervyn). Will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended friends and family, especially her niece Sonia Lidstone and friend Lori Sackville, whom she called her good girl.
Anna is predeceased by her parents the late Olaf Sr. and Agnes Bjornaa as well as brothers Olaf Bjornaa (Iolene), Duane Bjornaa (Joanne) and Allan Bjornaa (Cindy).
Anna was a wonderful caring person, and she touched the hearts of those who knew her. She had a heart of gold and a soul to match which she shared many times over the years. We will miss her laugh and smile dearly.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Anna’s life will be held at the Rankin Arena (17 Batchewana St, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 5K9) on Thursday, July 28th, 2022, from 1pm – 4pm. Donations made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home.
