Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on June 23, 2022, surrounded with family by his side. Son of the late Charles and Sarah ‘Sadie’ Taylor. Allen will be dearly missed by Vi, his wife. Proud father of son Maurice (Mary), daughter Karen (Art) and daughter Janet (Sylvain). Grandfather of Nicole (Joe), Charles (Stephanie), Kristen (Curtis), Matthew (Melissa), Andrea (Jared) and Hayden, a great grandson.
Allen will also be remembered by his brothers Norm (Anne), and Lorne. Predeceased by his sister Helen Harten (Charlie), brothers Bill (Marie), Ed (Naomi), Maurice (surviving wife Paddy) and brother Don Taylor. Allen will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, his extended family, and friends. He had a fulfilling career at the Public Utilities Commission as well as at Taylor Brothers Electric and always enjoyed community service. Allen was known for a good sense of humour, easy manner, and hearty laugh.
Respecting his wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation and cremation has taken place. Special thanks to the caring staff at Collegiate Heights Retirement Residence and to the nursing staff at the Sault Area Hospital. Memorial donations to Diabetes Canada (payable by cheque or online) would be appreciated by the family.
