Obituary for Joan Kramer

KRAMER, Joan A.
August 01, 1935- June 13, 2020

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Baba, peacefully holding the hands of her granddaughter Andrea and great grandson Blake on Saturday June 13, 2020 in her 85th year. Joan lived a long and high energy life. She was a go- getter and a hard worker who took pride in everything she did. By example, she taught us all about resilience, determination, discipline and the value of family. Proud wife of the late Jim Kramer SR, loving mother of the late Jimmy Kramer JR (Sandra), grandmother/mother/Baba/Best Friend to Andrea (Robin), Super Proud Baba to her two favourite great grandchildren, Blake and Delaney. Fur Baba to Jay Jay, Domino, Beanie, Pauly, Grumpy. Joan was well known around town by many from her early days back in Bayview to her days at the bowling center to her newspaper days. She truly enjoyed staying busy and rarely would sit still. Joan enjoyed the outdoors, always stopping to say hello to friends, and whatever daily adventures would bring her. She never gave up, never complained, and always gave 200% in all that she did. Joan had a special spot in her heart for rescue pets and she wished she could rescue them all. “just one more cat….. I can make room, call Cheryl”. A huge thank you goes out to Dennis Gregory who was a great friend to Joan. He was always by her side to make sure she had help when needed, was there to laugh and share jokes, go on rides to the waterfront, talk, banter and share old memories. You were a wonderful friend to her. We are all so grateful for the memories and times given with Baba. It will just never feel like enough. Although our Baba will be so deeply missed, she will forever live on in the memories and love she left with us. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at her request. Joan has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to T.A.A.G (The Animal Assistance Group, 254 Letcher St. Sault Ste Marie, ON P6C4Y7). Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.

Until we meet again mom. It’s not gonna be easy. You were my rock. But like you told me…… “the strength is in the family” I love you forever and always. ~Poocha
