ETHEN, Alfred Anton
Peacefully passed away at the F. J. Davey Home on Thursday August 15, 2019 at the age of 83. Survived by his loving wife Adrienne Ethen (nee Roy). Father of Chris (Lara) Roy, Kathleen (Niklas) Lönnkvist and Natalie Blake (nee Ethen). Grandfather of Zachary, Alexander, Josefine, Braxton, Carter, Ruthie, Philippa and Felix. Al joined the monastery at the age of 17. He met his wife Adrienne in the Bahamas, who was a nun. They fell in love and left the monastery and convent to be married in 1970. Al was Executive Director of Big Brothers for approximately 25 years and always enjoyed helping others. He and Adrienne were married for 49 years. He was a loving husband and caring father. He will be missed for his kind heart and goofy sense of humour. The family had a small intimate Celebration of Life in honor of Al. Memorial donations may be made to Big Brother Canada.
