PENFOLD, Sandra (nee Pruce)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mom Sandra as she was holding hands with daughter Bobbi and son-in-law Les at ARCH on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the age of 85. Predeceased by loving husband Gerald Penfold, mother Mary Montgomery, and brother Bobby Drebit. Cherished mother of daughters Debbie Logan (Bill) and Bobbi-Lee MacKenzie (Les). Grandmother of Jessy (Chantal), Emma, and Jake Logan (Paige), Rya and Nathan MacKenzie (Kathryn), and the late baby Aaron MacKenzie. Great grandmother of Claire, Logan, Mitchell, Wyatt, Leo, and the late baby Malcolm. Sister-in-law to Jim Penfold (Doreen), Pauline Kovacevich (Gary), and the late Wallace (Marie), Lloyd, Clayton, Barry Penfold (Carol), and Joyce Murray (Eric). Aunt and great aunt to many but special aunt to Dean Drebit and Rick Murray. Best friend and cousin to Phyllis Mihailiuk (Jerry).
Sandra was truly a gracious and caring woman, loved far and wide! She will be best remembered as a health care provider for many years as a nurse's aid at the TenderCare Nursing Home on Great Northern Road. Sandra was an avid and active member of the Willowgrove United Church on Tilly Road and was also known as someone who greatly cared for dogs having many over the years. She liked to garden and read in her spare time.
The family would like to thank the ARCH angels for their compassionate care given to our mom. Sandra was content at ARCH, keeping her comfortable and maintaining her dignity in her final days. Thanks to Dr. Shafiee and Dr. Apostle, she respected and spoke highly of both of you. A special thank you to Sandra's great neighbors Doug Armstrong, Dean Shaule, and Roya Mogharrabi.
A private graveside service for the immediate family will be held. A celebration of life will occur at a later date so the many family and friends can attend. Memorial donations to ARCH (payable to or online to) would be appreciated by the family.
