Passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2017 at the age of 66 with his former wife, Colleen Ewing, at his side. Forever remembered by his daughter Mary Colleen Ewing of Bramalae and predeceased by his infant son, David Leonard McMillan. He is survived by his mother, Eilleen (nee Mathewson) McMillan-R. Hoy and predeceased by his father Alfred McMillan. Remembered by his siblings, Sharon Whalen (Dwyer), Cathy Lee Hallaert (Dirk), Melvin McMillan (Brenda), Connie Spooner (Perry) and Wayne McMillan, all of Sault Ste. Marie. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special friend to Linda Lundhill, Barry "Bear" Fraser, Dave May, John Cie, Ted Hallin, Anne and Leo Young.
He worked many years as a respected prison guard in Kingston, Toronto and Sault Ste. Marie.
A memorial will take place on Saturday October, 14 2017 at The Knights of Columbus Senior's building, 623 Bay St. in the common room from 2 - 7 p.m.. Rev. Sam Norbo of the City Bible Church has been invited to speak at 5 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the O'Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St., 705-759-8456.
