Obituary for Brenda Ellen McKenney (Nieminen)

Brenda Ellen McKenney (Nieminen)
After a courageously fought 2 year battle at the tender age of 55, Brenda peacefully left this world with her loving family by her side to go be with her parents on March 23, 2018 at ARCH Hospice. She is survived by the love of her life Jeffrey McKenney. She will be forever cherished by her children, Stephen McKenney (Amber) and Sarah McKenney. Special Nanny to her grandchildren, Parker and Eveliina. Big sister to Penny Nieminen-Archer (Sydney) and Christine Nieminen. Daughter of the late Richard Nieminen and the late Nelda Nieminen. Daughter in-law of late Donald McKenney and Carole McKenney. Sister in-law of Michael McKenney, Heather Marshall (John), Ricky Samson (Annette) and Dawn Marie Frederiksen. Adoring auntie to Justin Nieminen (Holly), Matt Nieminen, Destiny Nieminen, Derrick and Alec Becking and Tasha Belsito (Ben) of Grand Rapids. Everyone who knew her will terribly miss her as she was truly a special soul, the likes of which were too good to remain here with us on earth. The family would like to thank Dr. Rassouli. Dr. Carlson, Samuel, David and John from the cancer unit at S.A.H, as well as the nursing staff in 3B medical unit. Special thanks to ARCH Hospice for their over and above care for both Brenda and her family during her short stay. We truly appreciate the compassion by the volunteers and staff. Also a special thank you to the late Tracy Dinelle, and Dennis Dinelle for helping the family through Tracy's Dream. Family and friends are invited to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (215 St. James St.) for visitation on Friday April 6, 2018 from 6:00pm-9:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am Saturday April 7, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church (189 Upton Rd.) with Pastor Brad Mittleholtz officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any donations be made to ARCH Hospice and/or Tracy's Dream.
