Passed away suddenly at Sault Area Hospital at the age of 83 years old. Predeceased by her loving husband, Erkki Makkonen. Lovingly remembered by her son, Kari Makkonen (Lucy). Loving Grandmother of Christina Makkonen (Jay), Sarah Edgar (Jeremy), Sandra DeLuca, Dustin Makkonen, and Nicholas Makkonen. Adoring Greatgrandmother of Lexxus, Quinn, late Ivy, Isabella, James, and Olivia. Sister of the late Maila Lehtimaki (late Herman), late Matti Lehtimaki (Vivienne), Riita Lehtimaki (late Richard). Daughter of the late Helmi and Jalmari Lehtimaki. Will also be greatly missed by nieces, nephews, and many friends. The family would like to thank the Ontario Finnish Resthome Association and Sault Area Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to OFRA or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. At the family’s request, there will be a private service.
