Obituary for Rosina Lavorato (Caruso)

Rosina Lavorato (Caruso)
Peacefully at the F. J. Davey Home on Wednesday July 12, 2017. She was born February 9, 1924 in Italy to Enrico and Raffaela Caruso. Predeceased by her beloved husband Guido Lavorato. Rose is survived by her three daughters Elena (Tony), Maria and Silvana (Harley). Grandmother of Nadia (Mike), Lisa, Samantha and Matthew. Great grandmother of Lauren and Maddy. Beloved sister of Angelo (late Maria), Giuseppina (Mario), the late Stano and the late Alfonso. All of her family, she loved and touched deeply. Rose will be greatly missed by all of us. Rose had a soul of kindness, she would always put her family first and was consistently trying to help her loved ones in any way she could. She enjoyed knitting warm clothing and winter necessities for her family and she had an abiding passion for her garden full of vibrant flowers and vegetables. She shared her love for food with her family, fresh pasta and apple pie were just a couple of her specialties. When she wasn’t cooking in her kitchen or perfecting her precious garden, she liked to take walks along the local boardwalk and sit down for coffee and biscotti with her family and friends. As per Rose’s wishes, a private family service will be held. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful nurses on Driftwood 3 at the F. J. Davey Home for the care given to Rose. Donations to the F. J. Davey Home or the charity of choice would be appreciated.
