Peacefully at ARCH after a short battle with cancer on Wednesday August 17, 2016, Jene Winkelmann in her 66th year. Mother and best friend of Shannon Stillert. Loving companion and soul mate of Gerry Copeland for 23 years. Sister-in-law of Reg (Dale), Phyllis, Mike (Patti) and Wayne. Jene made some of her best friends at the ADSB. As per Jene’s request, there will be no visitation or services. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 25, 96 Great Northern Rd) on Friday August 26, 2016 from 2:00pm-6:00pm. Gerry and Shannon would like to thank Dr. Fera, Kelly Rutland, Dr. Spadafora, Dr. Wilson, the Bayshore nurses and the staff at ARCH for all the care and compassion given to Jene. Memorial donations to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
